I was surprised i hadn't seen anyone isolate this yet, I think the actual disgusting thing here is that none of the other journalists there stick up for her or ask her question again or anything else. They act like it didn't even happen.

There seems to be a whole set of people in New York finance, ivy league schools, prestigious newspapers, and partisan politics who all play footsie with each other. This all puts metoo and title IX in a new context, huh? The ruling class were closing ranks to protect their exclusive little club.

What I think New York Times staff need to understand is that when you go in public, identify yourself as one of their employees, and defend the paper's actions, people are going to see you as a representative of the whole organization.
