Decent answer, but this is why CNN needs experts on the law of the sea on, instead of the usual political commentators. They could easily explain why this violates maritime rules.

Does anyone else did it offensive that Secretary of Defense Hegseth chooses to use the U.S. flag as a pocket square in his public appearances? I do. I would never presume to place the flag in my pocket as if I owned it, or might use it it for a sneeze.
