As AVs deploy and circle for passengers (or for their owners avoiding paying for parking), we will see traffic jams with empty cars regularly. We won't need a blackout.

KC, how the heck did we allow a hotel this close to the streetcar to have no ground floor presence other than parking and a tiny door to the elevator used to access the 2nd floor lobby? Let's hope our standards have elevated.

It will soon be easier to get from downtown KCK, KU Med to the streetcar. See how
KCATA and Unified Government officials said the change will take effect on Jan. 5.

Pedestrian fatalities in Missouri are up 22% from last year's record high, while we remain one of just four states without a statewide active transportation plan.

Please consider a charitable donation to help us keep fighting for safety!

Missouri pedestrian fatalities have risen 22% this year. Does the state need a new strategy?
So far this year, 128 pedestrians have been killed in Missouri — a troubling increase over the same period in 2024, which was already the deadliest on record.

I came across *the* example I have been hammering with these food delivery robots.

A man with a mobility aid is forced to step aside because there is not room for him because the robot will not make room for a person (esp. those with a mobility aid who need addditional room)

L.A. redesigned a road to slow traffic. People fought to reverse the safety improvements and won. Then one of the advocates hit and killed a woman walking her dog (the dog died too).

This should be a lawsuit. The city is liable along with the driver.

U.S. officials adopted Europe's Vision Zero initiative, but many cities have seen an increase in pedestrian fatalities despite efforts to improve road safety.

Really shouldn't be surprised anymore, but still cringe at every account profile that's wall-to-wall progressive causes, but think it's ok for other people to die just to preserve a few parking spots or drive as fast as they want.

I am skeptical of the CPSC's timing. These batteries have been on the market for years.

Of course the Trump government wants you to stop using your E-Bike.

Thinks a tremendous program of bike lane data collection and evaluation. Maybe the best of any city governments in the US.
