On buses, we will demand based on our funding to the regional system (KCATA), that Kansas City routes should be retained unless routes are reduced in collaboration with City Council. We don't want to learn them late either.

In today's budget hearing, we voted to authorize an additional $6.8M in support of buses and bus routes in Kansas City, add'l funds for behavioral health treatment, code updates to better welcome urban agriculture, and more.

We showed up to Jackson County Legislature’s Special Public Session last night to urge elected officials act to save the county’s bus system.
They have $70 million in federal COVID money that still needs to be allocated by the end of the year or else it will be lost.
