Maybe it's minor, maybe it's not, but there are social media posts about my scholarship that are clearly using AI-generated summaries, which COMPLETELY MISREPRESENT WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN. And because they're being shared on social media, those misrepresentations are getting magnified.

again, I beg ppl to not frame war in venezuela as some sort of effort to distract from the epstein files.

Trump likes the idea of a strong US military murdering people on his whim. he's made this very clear.

📢 Hope our colleagues across the country recognize—just as with Texas’s ban on DEI in higher education—this will NOT remain in Texas. What is happening here is a blueprint for the rest of the country.

If you have to get permission to teach in your area of expertise from people who are definitionally not qualified to adjudicate your expertise then you are no longer working at a university.

You’re working at a state propaganda factory.

We started Indivisible in 2016 because a future Trump appointee was talking about the WWII Japanese internment camps as a model for immigrants at the same time that Schumer was talking about finding common ground with Trump.
This concentration camp was opened at Fort Bliss, the site of a former Japanese internment camp.

It also cost over $1B in private contracts to build in a place meant to hold 1000 people. So, basically it’s a fascist grift.

Regular reminder that Axios stories saying Dems are about to cave are likely sourced from GOP staffers trying to make it happen.
Doesn't mean it definitely won't happen. But it's like those NYT stories that Harvard is considering caving (they haven't). The anonymous source was trying to manifest it.

Days without a federal judge finding DHS/ICE/CBP/FPS lies: 0
A long and comprehensive opinion, but this jumped out at me: The judge accused the Federal Protective Service—which was called in to suppress the protests—of lying under oath to slander the regular Portland police.😬

DOJ recently admitted that other FPS claims in this case were objectively false.

Flaws and glitches are minor concerns easily dismissed. Being “mid” is fine because someone can promise this will get less mid and plenty of people are willing to believe. GenAI isn’t mid. It’s linear algebraic sociopathy.
