#GVerse MoveOn calls for Chuck Schumer @schumer.senate.gov to step down from leadership.

“Around 80% of MoveOn members that the group surveyed said that Schumer should quit his leadership position.”

It is time to let someone else take the wheel & lead!
Progressive group MoveOn calls on Schumer to step aside
"Inexplicably, some Senate Democrats, under Leader Schumer's watch, decided to surrender."

If true, it shows they didn't learn a damn thing after the last election or from rank and file Democrats across the country. Current Dem leadership must go. ASAP.
This isn’t just about the eight Senate Democrats who surrendered. 👇

Trump did it during the Biden presidency. We need someone with the courage to take the fight to Trump.
Ben Meiselas reports on how California Governor Newsom has effectively become the shadow President of the United States as he represents California and the ideals of what a better American future can look like on major intentional trips like the one taking place right now in São Paulo, Brazil.

It is cold blooded murder, a crime against humanity. What if Mexico started bombing American boats based merely on a hunch they might be running drugs?
Donald Trump, Stephen Miller, Pete Hegseth, and Republican House leaders and Supreme Court justices obliterated six innocent Venezuelans today.

The Dem party has no leadership, as far as I'm concerned. It is a fractured party between moderates who want to keep the current system of legal bribery and insider trading and progressives who want our democracy and constitution back where they belong.
Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

In a democracy, respect is earned. Only Monarchs and fascists demand respect simply for holding a title.
Exactly right. Why should we respect a president who doesn’t respect the constitution he swore an oath to uphold?

It is a great point.
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

Centrist Dems are still trying to pull the party to the right, even though every bit of evidence tells us this is wrong. We are in a fight to save democracy, not a negotiation over how bad our losses will be.
Dems- 50 Years of capitulating to 'Extractive Institutions' that have enabled the 0.1% to grow from 7%/1970's to 31% today, Dems 'negotiations' created compressed middle class, concentrated wealth controlling economy, government and a SCOTUS ending social reforms.

We need a FDR to reverse trend
Centrist Democrats in the Senate folded on the shutdown, throwing away their leverage in exchange for worthless GOP promises.

When will they learn that there is no center between a government of oligarchs and a government of the people? https://youtu.be/EQzG_TrhyrY?si=LBXGJad9NjGyBGBo

Is she really this out of touch with reality? Or is something else going on here? Her statement is delusional.
No words

My senator is speaking like she just suffered a major head injury and thinks it's 1993

Trump is simply trying to buy more favorable ratings from the American people. It's that simple.

First, it's an avalanche of criticism, not 'some' criticism. And the eight Dems were wrong to think the strategy wasn't working. It was. All it needed was a unified party that wouldn't flinch. But they flinched.
Come on! We know members of the Senate are “free agents,” but the fact is Schumer didn’t hold his caucus together & isn’t doing his job as Leader

We’re supposed to believe it’s a coincidence that none of the Dems who voted yes on the CR have anything to lose in 2026?

@schumer.senate.gov STEP DOWN!

Billionaires have been promoting Republican propaganda through the media and the GOP for many decades, and because we allowed it, it has paid off wonderfully for them.

For Trump, the true measure of patriotism is loyalty to him.
Oh,where do we even start?Apparently, according to this masterpiece of leadership, true measure of Air Traffic Controller’s patriotism isn’t years of training, nerves of steel,or ensuring the safety of millions of Americans every single day it’s whether they took a day off during government shutdown

Confessions of a spineless man, a man willing to surrender to a fascist dictator while 7 million Americans had the courage to take to the streets in protest. This is a coward.
“… it actually gave him more power”: oh, awesome. Just co-sign the Russ Vought argument that shutdowns grant presidents carte blanche to shift spending and RIF workers while you bravely give up, why don’t you.

The Democratic party is at a crossroads. Either they revitalize the party leadership with new blood, with progressive fighters or they continue the descent into competing factions and become the minority party forever.
Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

The Old Guard, the neoliberals, the moderates are holding the party back at a time when we are fighting a fascist president and need unity. It's like fighting a battle while part of your leadership is having tea with the enemy.
80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?
November 10, 2025 at 5:27 PM
The Dem party is still suffering from the rise of the neoliberals starting after Reagan's two terms. Sam Nunn, Bill Clinton, Joe Lieberman and other DLC members took temporary control of the party in the 80s and 90s but there are still holdovers, like Chuck Schumer.

'Some' Democrats are angry? The vast majority of Democrats are angry and their are plenty of polls to show that. Our party is in shambles without a true leader to unite it.
Some Democrats are angry with their colleagues for ending the shutdown with a deal that doesn't include the Affordable Care Act subsidies the party spent weeks fighting for—forfeiting health care for 5.1M Americans by 2034 and allowing increased premiums across the marketplace. trib.al/CgInIf5

I can't tell you how many interviews I've done where I've been asked: If Trump's policies are so problematic, why are U.S. stocks rising so rapidly.

A bit of international context illustrates the real issue here.

U.S. stocks have dramatically underperformed other advanced economies.

The Democratic party is stumbling and failing at the very moment in history we need a unified front to fight Trump. Until a leader emerges, someone who can pull this party together, we will continue losing ground to fascism.
