Rather than posting videos of vulnerable people shackled, undermining protections, or celebrating targeting those who more often than not are victims of exploitation, Labour could be following Spain's example and making it simpler to regularise status. 3/

Spain plans to give 500,000 undocumented migrants legal status
The process will be available to foreign nationals without a criminal record who can prove they lived in Spain for five months prior to 31 December 2025.

True facts - I’m so disappointed in Gans, I loved his first Silent Hill movie, but this one is just very very dull both visually and plot wise (and yes it’s hampered by source material obvs)
A video-game about an endless nightmare that you can't wake up from becomes a movie that feels like an endless nightmare that you can't wake up from. It may be wowing audiences over in China, but Christophe Gans's Return to Silent Hill is a utter bore to watch. 1/5

Please spread this far and wide, as stories don't get much bigger than this. When the government blocks even the intelligence services from telling us we're heading for environmental catastrophe, you know we have a problem. A very big problem.
Thank you.

The government’s suggestion that rolling out 20 minute courses on writing “AI“ prompts, sponsored by Google, Microsoft and Amazon, is somehow comparable to the founding of the Open University (the Wilson government‘s, & Jennie Lee’s, proudest achievement), is an insult to our human intelligence.

It's quite worrying the SoS is equating learning how to prompt in 20 mins or under with diagnostic uses of AI in healthcare. I also still can't really believe govt is investing in universal training in proprietary tools. That Microsoft koolaid must be pretty intoxicating

Git my third session of this today and I’m seriously considering cancelling it. It doesn’t work as therapy OR any meaningful kind of support and I just end up totally demoralised and depressed. I know I’m a hard sell to employers (post-stroke, mobility & pain issues, profoundly deaf, AuDHD)…
At my employment support meeting , my advisor admitted that she had rewritten bits of my CV with AI. It was also clear that her notes on my CV were AI generated slush that bore no relation to the document.
It’s all SO GRIM out there.
The AI parsing is one thing (and not new). Being asked for my salary expectations 1) when no salary range is listed for the role, meaning whoever asks for the least gets invited to interview 2) before my goddamn name is the bigger worry for me at present
