Donald Trump just said he'll ask the Supreme Court to freeze SNAP payments AGAIN.

His message to the 42 million Americans who rely on SNAP? Eat dirt.

BREAKING: #SCOTUS will decide an issue near and dear to President Trump: whether federal law allows states to tally ballots in federal elections after Election Day. 5th Circuit ruled it does.

68% of SNAP users are children or older/disabled people. Another 20% are families with kids.
The remaining 11% is the only category the GOP leadership wants to talk about.
Media: when they do that, do your job and cite this chart!!!
PSC experts @pamherd.bsky.social and Luke Shaefer @umfordschool.bsky.social help us understand the consequences of blocking SNAP benefits, which mostly go to children or disabled elderly adults.

AP reporter Regina Garcia Cano looked into a few of the men killed in Trump's extrajudicial strikes on Caribbean boats.

"They were laborers, a fisherman, a taxi driver. Two were low-level career criminals. One was a local crime boss who contracted out smuggling services"

Trump has accused boat crews of being narco-terrorists. The truth, AP found, is more nuanced
One was a fisherman struggling to eke out a living on $100 a month. Another was a career criminal. A third was a former military cadet.

We need this to penetrate public consciousness.

Sooner or later they come hat in hand to govt. They will tell SNAP recipients to “get a job.” To billionaires peddling an idea no one needs, they open the coffers filled with our tax dollars.
"Faced with this dilemma—where do you get a trillion dollars quick?—OpenAI is getting ready to run hat in hand to the taxpayer for subsidies, like every great Ayn Randian self-created entrepreneur, pulling themselves up by their bootstraps." prospect.org/2025/11/07/o...

Read this thread. This is what @katmabu.bsky.social was protesting, and why she repeatedly says getting beaten up by ICE outside is nothing compared to the torture and crimes being committed inside Broadview. These thugs must be held to account.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I'm hard-pressed to think of a non-Jewish Democratic politician who has spoken to Jews with more respect and empathy than Mamdani. The fact that many Jewish establishment orgs are going after him while staying relatively mum on resurgent Nazism is a disaster, both for American Jews and in general.

Maybe they should also run some editorials about how X is out of touch and an echo chamber.
Perhaps the NYT should run some articles about how the Republicans need to listen to the concerns of ordinary Democratic voters.

Very much this.
Trump is incapable of learning. Other GOP incumbents seeing tonight's results will draw the correct conclusion that everything Trump does is turning to shit at the ballot box. The question becomes how do they react: reject Trump or double down on rejecting democracy?
