This is incredibly deep and I am tearing up.

Andrew Cuomo and Eric Adams are the worst of us.

Mamdani is one of the best.

When you vote in this election, whatever your faith, you are making a moral decision that will reflect on your character and your soul forever.
Mamdani: "I thought that if I could build a campaign of universality ... if I behaved well enough or bit my tongue enough ... it would allow me to be more than just my faith. I was wrong."

it's wild to me that we have a letter from 850+ rabbis denouncing zohran mamdani for things he never said and positions he never took while no such letter has been written condemning stephen miller for claiming to "defend jewish values" while being an utter fucking nazi and dismantling our democracy
it’s funny how the attacks levied last night against zohran mamdani by andrew cuomo more accurately describe stephen miller — totally inexperienced, deeply ideological, surrounded by antisemites, speaks like he’s talking exclusively to the internet, will bring about a policy nightmare, etc.
this is the problem with letting men like this get away with saying shit on tv instead of real life. i dare this man to say this shit out loud in any bar on the north shore

Very important speech by Mamdani on Islamophobia— starts about 27 minutes in.

This will get chopped up and reported on in bad faith (if at all) by fools and trolls, so it’s worth watching in full to hear him in his own words. A historic first for NYC. His tone is righteous and firm.

The rage of the MAGA faithful over the last 30-odd years is so overpowering that their civic instincts have been buried by Trump's antagonism. They once knew, or a part of them knows, that no actual leader should be calling human beings “vermin.”

But that empathic impulse isn’t much match for rage.

Voting still matters. There are elections all over the country in November. Vote, folks. We are all super voters now. We exercise the rights they're trying to steal. That's how we defend them. Massive turnout at the ballot box.
New poll: UNH finds that November’s ballot measure in Maine that would greatly restrict mail voting, and impose voter ID, is *very* tight.

It’s 49% no, 48% yes. scholars.unh.edu/survey_cente...
