I am introducing the Cut It Out And This Time I Really Mean It bill. It provides an additional $57 billion to the murder goons but they will agree to wear business casual Monday through Thursday and if they do any murders they have to put a dollar in this jar.

Nobody actually believes that a system famous for rewarding MURDERERS + PEDOPHILES can be reformed. The entire success of these villains is predicated on the fact that reforms DON'T work. They will adapt, lay low, disrupt, sabotage, cause chaos, seize power, and roll back the reforms like clockwork.

100%. I honestly believe political leaders ask too little of people. The thinking is you need an extraordinarily low bar - so ask people for money or to sign something. People want to be part of something and they're eager to do real meaningful work in defense of their community and their rights.
I have begun to think that Minnesota pushback to ICE was unique and a model because it gave people something to do. It wasn’t about just going out in streets for rallying purposes. People had a mission: videos, whistles, information and communication flow to communities. They had something to do.

I haven’t eaten in almost twelve hours and I gotta say, anyone who fasts for religious reasons, they must really really believe in G O D because while this is tolerable, it ain’t it. I prefer eating

I posted last night about why rule through fear is suddenly not working so good for the authoritarians, but I deleted it because I think I stated it poorly. The thing about ruling thru fear, in my experience, is that it does work up to a point, but then it fails rather spectacularly 🧵 TW abuse/ipv

I’m lucky to have a stable low rent housing situation. So sometimes when I’m bored I’ll call up the local big box complexes and occasionally even tour them and then tell the leasing agent that I pay half what they’re asking for twice the space, and that their property looks bad

This has been the failure of every military that thought they could subdue an enemy through fear. You overrun a city or bomb it into ruins and people do not give up. They get angry
The MAGA regime also really obviously doesn't know what to do with the fact that each time ICE murders somebody, the people they're trying to scare merely get more angry and more motivated to fight back.

The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they don’t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.
