Obviously this is a bit tongue and cheek but here’s the thing. How do you define violence? Shooting someone is violence yeah, but what about calling the cops on someone, what about sending someone to prison, what about working for a prison, what about working for a military contractor?

It's bc America wanted to create sanitized neighborhoods for white people using highly restrictive zoning codes, and in the process we killed the idea that neighborhoods should have little corner stores and cafes and a lil bakery and whatnot and instead handed all of that over to big box retailers.
