People with type 1 diabetes #T1D can sometimes seem aloof and unapproachable. I want to let you know it isn't because we know we are so hot (we do), it is because we are really busy trying to stop our bodies from killing us.

They won’t leave. But the fact they moan about shows the level of their greed. They couldn’t spend their money, minus the taxes, in multiple lifetimes.
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

This #JiggsDibber was so good yesterday, but the Chalkers salt navel beef was not as good as making the salt beef myself, so I will be going back to salting my own brisket

Me: Cool the Bible says in Leviticus "When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born."

MAGA: Not like that.

Call me old fashioned or just plain old but I do think students need to learn to read, write, edit, and think without gAI BEFORE they ever use the technology.
It’s incredibly disheartening to see unions working with tech companies, too, that makes anything you say suspect to me.
We know students, like the rest of the world, are using AI. Teachers need to be equipped to deal w/all the issues AI creates. Our approach starts with maximizing safety & privacy and empowering educators to make educational decisions, so AI tools can benefit not harm www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-ne...
AI has become the norm for students. Teachers are playing catch-up.
At a New York City training session, educators explored how artificial intelligence could support teaching while also discussing their concerns around the technology.

I don't have a problem with recreational drug use and I think it should be decriminalized, so I am not critical of Rubio doing drugs, but I do think him doing it at work and the hypocrisy of murdering people in boats to stop drugs, while clearly loving cocaine, are valid and disqualifying critics
yeah I mean it’s genuinely sad that the “reasonable old school” Republican (who Dems eagerly and unanimously voted to confirm) is out here doing pressers blatantly geeked out coke and it’s not subtle

Why can't we have a big solar and wind power generation investment near Brandon instead of those fossil fuel turbines, also has anyone tried bison farming around solar panels, it seems to work well with sheep. I want a solar and bison agrivoltaics pilot in Manitoba

I think this is a really important point. When folks say "no AI" they often don’t mean "I can conceive of no possible use for AI"—they mean "the use cases I’ve been shown do not begin to justify the harms"—that’s not something you respond to by offering another narrow use case
So when I say there is *zero* utility for LLMs, I don't mean there are zero use cases. I mean there are zero use cases that even begin to make up for the damage that's being done.
