It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. i think nominating Gavin Newsom will lose the White House again for Democrats. The party's left flank will stay home again because he's an empty corporate shell. The age of Democrats punching left to appeal to the center is over and it's now a matter of if the party as a whole realizes that or not.

We need to change the model where companies do this work or not based on how much money they will make because it is crazy and governments around the world need to fund this and then end up with drugs and vaccines that belong to everyone
In terms of what cures are being lost:

We need to change the model where companies do this work or not based on how much money they will make because it is crazy and governments around the world need to fund this and then end up with drugs and vaccines that belong to everyone

This should definitely clear up any residual belief that someone needs to be intelligent to be extremely wealthy or in politics

Yes we need to talk about mental illness and access to care. We really have to. What happen should never happen.

It does some stuff well but needs constant supervision, and when it messes up, people often don’t know why or how. This makes it both worse and dangerous. I would not structure my economy out of this just as I wouldn’t allow an anonymous man to build my house with materials I’ve never heard of.

Once again: people are angry for very good reason, and this brand of post is perhaps one of the most tedious and bewildering. Practically every social media platform is rabidly pro-‘AI’ so are govts, academia, companies. This one small space being critical of AI is okay, I think.
