For me, writing it out has always been part of the process of learning. Not surprising outsourcing that step has negative consequences
“When participants used ChatGPT to draft essays, brain scans revealed a 47% drop in neural connectivity across regions associated with memory, language, & critical reasoning.

Their brains worked less, but they felt just as engaged—a kind of metacognitive mirage.”🧪

Everyone in the room combined is less
American than a single one of my Somali neighbors
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

the hater's council just vetoed this actually.

"a real hater hates attention seekers by ignoring them" wise words from one hater elder.

"hate reading is for homework dorks" said another senior hater on condition of anonymity as this statement was a compound diss targeting other council members

"Now warn"? Are the lawyers just reading social media and seeing the posts about this being the paradigmatic illegal order?
NEWS: After taking credit for many already legally-iffy strikes, Pete Hegseth is now hiding away from a reported double-tap strike.

Why? Well, per sources, even Trump admin lawyers are now warning higher-ups: the strike may have been blatantly illegal.

Drew is demonstrating the correct way to be a fan: all in on hope, all out when it’s bad
More than a few people in Vikes media are saying fans still need to be patient with JJ McCarthy, which... no.

Ja is so busted. Even if the Wolves are in flux any version of that trade that makes sense for Memphis makes the Wolves worse
Sources: The Milwaukee Bucks have conducted background due diligence on Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine. The Bucks have also kept tabs on Boston Celtics guard Anfernee Simons, who was in trade talks with the Brooklyn Nets this summer. www.hoopshype.com/story/sports...

This is true of adult converts, but is also true of American Catholics at large with respect to end times theology. We swim in extremely millennialist waters, it’s in our media, and we don’t realize how particularly American much of it is
you're telling me a right-wing catholic convert is just a protestant in disguise? shocked
In newly leaked audio, Peter Thiel admits he urged JD Vance to ignore Pope Leo XIV on moral questions — including the ethical development of AI.

He goes even further, branding Leo “the woke American pope” and suggesting he’s a tool of the Antichrist.

I don’t even know what a bailout would theoretically look like if this goes belly up. You can’t just pay off the hyperscaler debt, the valuations will still crash and take the markets down
when its definitely not a hostage situation

Not great that when searching for a recipe I have to hope Chef John has posted it or worry that it’s fake
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

There’s a lot more institutional money in BTC than there was in 2022. You’d think that would provide more of a floor, but I’ve given up on trying to guess this purely irrational market
Bitcoin is very close to throwing the crypto markets into chaos and I for one cannot wait to see how they improve on the stupidity of the 2022 bear market

Curious how I’m going to react emotionally when this happens. It’ll be the first time I have enough in the market to lose something when it goes south.
WSJ: “.. If the AI market blows up, the blast radius would be wide, hitting not only Wall Street firms, but also pensions, mutual and exchange-traded funds and individual investors, because of how debt is often sliced and resold across the financial landscape.”

Not being defensive is important. getting wrapped up in Southern identity is a choice. You didn’t lose the civil war, your side won because you are an American. You, as a young white Southerner, were not on the wrong side of civil rights. Your side won! The good side! Be proud of that
Never stopped being a Texan or a Southerner. He wrote beautifully about the tragedy of the South, how the white Southerner really SHOULD recognize their kinship with the black, that their destinies were entwined, etc.

Didn't feel the need to be defensive about it though!
