When my dad, Duff the elder, was 14 he started a movie scrapbook. It’s only two pages but it looks like he had a couple great weeks in the summer of 1958. Back then, he and his friends would hop on the trolley or bus to downtown Hagerstown and spend the day at the movies.

My favorite film genre? (i.e. pre-1980 Star Wars knockoffs.) Sets and costumes that would seem at home in Spaceballs? The excessive use of leather? All that AND Richard Kiel too?

It’s like The Humanoid was made just for me.

Thank you, RiffTrax.
It's a Star Wars ripoff starring Richard Kiel... WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR? The Humanoid is now on RiffTrax!

My brain misread the shotguns as scuba flippers, which made for a much more interesting movie if you ask me.

Three times on #StarTrek, Kirk calmly and confidently eats an apple while people around him are starting to lose their nerves: First in #StarTrekTOS' eponymous "The Apple"⬅️, second in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan"⬆️ and third in "Star Trek '09"➡️. 🍎🍏🍎

Burgess Meredith, born today in 1907

Of “Time Enough at Last”, he said: “I don’t think I’ve ever done any other project that people talk to me more about than that show. .. It’s gotten to the point where when they first approach me, I almost know what they’re going to say.”

Excellent movie. I love this poster, I’ve been holding onto to one for years, waiting for the right wall to come along.
Richard Mathesons I Am Legend gets its first and perhaps best adaption. Credibly chilling and dripping with palpable dread and a desperately desolate Price. 1964.
