The McRib is 44 years old this month. People's opinion on this pork sandwich from McDonald's may vary, but its history is a fun mix of food science, resource scarcity, and commerce. It was a fun subject to write about.

Thank you for all the kind words, folks. Everyone got a chance to spend time holding him today. We spoiled him with Churus, tuna, and yogurt. Our boy passed peacefully in my arms at the vet's office and then we all went out for ice cream to drown our sorrows. The sunset was beautiful. ❤️❤️
Today we say goodbye to our buddy, Rufus. He was part of our family for 19 years (😲) but the vet says his body just can't keep going. He has slept next to me almost every night for most of his life, so much so we call him my "little spoon". I'll miss him, but I'm glad for the time we had.

I finished S04 last night. Thoughts:
- Maybe everybody doesn't love Hopper. Right, Lily Allen?
- The post-Vecna scenes go on too long
- I ship Nancy/Steve
- Really curious to see how S05 ties in since the end of S04 seemed pretty apocalyptic
Overall, a fun season except for Chester Hopper plot.

- Everybody loves Hopper, but his storyline is 100% disposable until the very end. I'm literally fast-forwarding anytime Joyce, Murray, or Hopper come on-screen.
