people want a Zelda movie to be "what if Ocarina of Time was LotR" when what it should be is an 80-minute anime OVA released in the early 90's with the weirdest plot you've ever seen and at least one original character who was so endearing that it physically hurts they aren't in any of the games

The kids actually made animals that don't exist. The AI just put a bunch of stuff that already exists together into a polished slop blender. You can't get a better illustration of why AI can't create anything new while human creativity is bottomless.

I played a tech demo of Ocarina of Time at a toy store, some 27+ years ago. Then I got a guidebook that conveyed the tips and directions like some epic story until I could afford the game myself.
