Omg, he's here at this new coffeeshop I'm checking out. Does he see me? Is he following me? Does he want to sit and study together? Does he want to pin me to t--*signal cuts out*
This giant man at the coffeeshop and the giant barista he's fist-bumping with need to like my vibe from across the bar immediately.

Maybe I'll make a video essay one day about how Counselor Troi was the Enterprise's most valuable crewmember because she represented the emotional and social evolution we need to make in order to progress, over and above any technological advances.
We didn't survive and thrive as a species because we had warriors or hunters - pretty much every omnivore can manage that.

We did so because we developed Grandmothers, and domesticated Dogs.

Community is what defines us as a species, and every "self-reliant" libertarian shitweasel be damned.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

This is a video from four years ago of police in Russia. There is so much real resistance against all over the US that we can support and cheer on, you don't have to share an old video and lie about it for clout.

you've just opened up a star trek-themed restaurant

what are you calling it?

SOMETHING FOR BREAKFAST

Breakfast foods and brunch. Coffee and croissant if that's all you want.

I just think that cute muscley boys with glasses
December 27, 2025 at 2:48 AM
Ooh, I just noticed it has audio description. I must listen to that. I've described erotic scenes before, but nothing on this level.
Now to get back to cute hockey boys fucking each other's brains out.

Whew. Fell asleep halfway thru and came back to finish it tonight only so I could listen to the @muppeturgy.com episode about it. At least the Bea Arthur segment was...okay? The cartoon looked like ass to me. At least I can say I've watched it now.
Currently losing my Star Wars Holiday Special virginity.

Apparently the fix for my lower back issues was eating a lot gingerbread over the holiday.

(Ok, and doing yoga.)

Some days I fantasize that I could be a good doctor, and other days I think, no I would take one look at these doofuses and tell them they're on their own.

Cranberry meatloaf for Christmas dinner, and old school red-and-green M&M cookies because I was craving them.

So we've hit the "complaining about the Tiny Tim jokes" part of the cycle? Would you rather debate the Die Hard question ad nauseum? Would you rather listen to your family rant about keeping the "Christ" in "Christmas"?

You'd think that it was canonical to the book that Belle wears a simply enormous bonnet given how often she's costumed with dramatic headgear in the film adaptations.

Watching all the versions of A Christmas Carol in my collection tonight in hopes of manifesting something.

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, threw that baton into the air, higher, further, faster than any baton has ever flown before, hitting a transformer and showering the darkened arena with sparks! And that was the night the lights went out in Georgia!
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, where the shadows lie, One Tim to rule them all, One Tim to find them, One Tim to bring them all, and in the darkness, bind them.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, blew up the Death Star.

The last time I talked to my dad he was trying to discuss Biblical End Times prophecy with me and how it connected to covid despite my saying I wasn't interested in the topic.
Yeah, no thanks.

Stop guilting people about being estranged from family members. It someone is they likely have personal reasons for being so.

Please! As someone with an old apartment that doesn't have a dishwasher, I'm tired of playing logic games to clean implements that would be convenient were it not for the washing up afterwards.
the fact that so many things - ESPECIALLY KITCHEN STUFF - is designed with no thought as to how it will be cleaned.

One thing I like about watching my Christmas movie DVD/BR collection, aside from not giving money to streamers, is how they don't shrink into a postage stamp as soon as the end credits hit and require me to fumble for the remote to stop them from auto-playing some god-awful pap like Xmas Shoes.

Strapped on a festive mask and got in some coffeeshop writing time despite my cold. Spit out about 20 pages of my play, and now I've gotta do research.

This thread started as a Facebook post the first year I worked at the homeless shelter, 2013

I rewrote it as a Twitter thread in 2017

Now it’s here on Bluesky. This is truly my opus.
DO NOT call up the homeless shelter on thanksgiving or Xmas to see if you can pass a few plates and show your kids the “reason for the season”

The homeless shelter is not a petting zoo of human tragedy! The homeless shelter is not a drive thru nativity scene for you to enjoy!
