Watching commentators still refusing to see the white nationalism of this administration and arguingTrump is targeting Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit because they are blue cities is just, it’s got to be intentional at this point. There are a ton of blue cities. These are majority Black cities.

There are major federal tasks forces operating still in Memphis, New Orleans, Miami-Dade, Phoenix, South Texas, still raiding homes, kidnapping people, black-bagging people from courthouses.

If ICE does controversial things but doesn't *say* controversial things, it disappears from the news.

Please, please, please, don’t try to engage your Black coworkers in “organic dialogue” about their struggles. That’s a fucking nightmare.
I'm pretty sure I'm right. Most folks learn about other people's struggles through organic dialogue entered into willingly and with trust, and are quite fairly distrustful and offended when their bosses demand such vulnerability at work -- doubly so when they farm it out to contract lecturers
That’s wild cause Black people were just trying to go to work without dealing with racism, sorry you had to endure that tho

I do not think the most significant cultural shifts will come from a World War, Class War, Race War, or whatever other battle people weirdly fantasize about. I think it’ll be an integration of the idea that children are people and not the property of their parents.

It is unacceptable that a man was killed in the Sheriff’s Department custody, neither the Boston mayor nor Governor has said his name, & the office “investigating” this tragedy is simultaneously prosecuting the witnesses against the officers (who are still working there), a clear conflict. Shame!

I cannot stand the "this is a good start" discourse. The Democrats in Congress do not want to abolish ICE. They have proposed a series of bog-standard reforms regurgitated by a think tank. Everyone knows they do not work. The Democrats supporting this do not care. They just want to move on.

Everything you’re hearing from the Trump administration is a lie. Today was one of the most active days in Northeast since the entire Operation Metro Surge began.

Nothing is changing on the ground in Minneapolis, no matter what headlines Trump and Homan try to create.

The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley.

Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo.

Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles.

Get them out!

Journalism coops give me — and most of the journalists I know — a lot of hope for the industry. But I've been curious: What's it like to actually work at one? I spent the last few months talking to a bunch of brilliant worker-owners to find out.

Journalism coops seem utopian. What’s it like working in one?

This is one of the most important cases that galvanized Black people in the late 40s through the 1950s. Almost every major Black leader had a comment about it. It is also one of the most successful defense committees that was organized in the 20th century. Almost no one knows about it today.
On this day in 1948, an all-white jury sentenced a Black woman and two of her teenage sons to death for killing an armed white man in self-defense.

Everybody has it backwards.

Billionaires aren’t buying up these institutions to make money. They’re buying them to kill them. Same as the oligarchs destroying government and social programs and things like weather forecasting and regulatory bodies.

They’re creating a world they control completely

ICE hasn't stopped brutalizing people or shredding the Constitution, it's just that corporate media turned the camera as the call for action got too loud and the Democrats stepped in and made sure the issue got changed.

If you sit for a second, you'll recognize that's what happened with BLM, too.
