There is something deeply broken about an economy that creates trillionaires while people get buried under the cost of living and 42 million go hungry. The ultra-rich should realize that my Billionaires Income Tax, aimed at ensuring they pay their fair share, represents the moderate path forward.

Sara Nelson's time as Council President was a true stain on the legislative department in Seattle. Her leadership fostered toxicity, led to Seattle losing many very good legislative staff + a great legislator, & coincided with a stagnation of Council generated legislation. Bye bye One-Term CM Nelson

Georgia Democrats had not won a statewide race that wasn't for a federal office since 2006.

They won two races tonight, both against GOP incumbents.

The margins? 62% to 38% in both.

Once again, the main day of Tea Party protests had about 300,000 nationwide, but saw endless coverage.

The No Kings protests had about 7,000,000 nationwide, and many media outlets reacted with a yawn.

No Kings was nearly 25x as big as the Tea Party but the Tea Party got 25x the attention.
Ask yourself this: How would the New York Times have covered the protests if it had been seven million MAGA supporters flooding the streets? We don’t even have to guess: We know how they and other mainstream outlets covered the Tea Party protests during Obama’s first term.

The Stranger hasn’t really covered SPS in years. They don’t regularly come to school board meetings or interview caregivers or follow the impactful issues affecting Seattle kids and families. Vote for Sarah Clark for School board!!! She’s *ON THE BOARD NOW* and doing great for students and our city!
FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS VOTE EXCLUSIVELY THE STRANGER BALLOT.

Vote for Clark over Smith for School Board. Clark has stuck her neck out over and over again publicly in a way that has over and over changed SPS policy. She knows the issues, has an excellent head start, and is a former SPS student.

The upcoming election is super important for the future of public schools in Seattle. Please vote for Sarah Clark, Joe Mizrahi, Vivian Song, & Jen LeVallee. They will fight school closures, support options and alternative programs, partner with families, and put students first.

Yesterday, Stephen Miller had one of the most terrifying Freudian slips I've ever heard.

He claimed Trump has plenary authority (absolute power)—before cutting himself off.

Today, Trump said Governor Pritzker and Mayor Johnson should be *jailed*.

This is how authoritarian regimes talk. (1/3)

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.
