I joined my friend Greg and other cartoonists to draw something to welcome Liam Ramos home, but ~3800 children remain in ICE custody, including at least three students from Liam's school (and 25 parents). Join us at #Comics4Liam !

November is coming yes, BUT in Texas, FIRST WE HAVE PRIMARIES IN MARCH

Less than 15% of voters vote in Texas primaries. You cannot have strong candidates if you do not go vote for them in MARCH
Republicans just lost a district Trump won by 17 points- in Texas. That’s not an anomaly, it’s a pattern. Democrats are building on our historic overperformance, and we’re not slowing down. November is coming, and we’re ready. ALL GAS, NO BRAKES!!
Texas State Senate 9 Special Runoff - PROJECTION

- 🔵 ☑️ Taylor Rehmet (D) - 54,228 (57.2%)
- 🔴 Leigh Wambsganss (R) - 40,570 (42.8%)

We can project that Taylor Rehmet has won election to the Texas State Senate, flipping this seat to the Democrats.

Everyone at TopatoCo supports today's ICE Out strike. Because we are a small business, we will be remaining open; however we will be donating 50% of our profits for today to the National Immigrant Justice Center. #IceOut

Happy birthday to the deeply complicated, profoundly inspiring human problem that's Mr. Warren Zevon. Perhaps more than any single figure, he informed what kind of songwriter I felt I should be. Here's a piece I wrote about him for Oxford American a few years back. oxfordamerican.org/web-only/mtv...

i should probably spend the majority of this year promoting my book The He-Man Effect (the story of how He-Man was just the beginning of how corporations would insert themselves into our souls, steal some of it and then sell it back to us later) alongside this reboot which proves the thesis.

I get the impulse, trust me, but "Not all Americans" goes down about as well as "Not all men" did. It's a true statement that is also completely irrelevant, and demanding recognition for not being a piece of a shit while the rest of the world suffers helps nothing and no one.

Weaver D's in Athens, GA. I ate there once in a while when I was a grad student at UGA in the mid-90s. Had THE BEST fried chicken I've ever tasted. The sweet potato soufflé was sublime. And if you complimented Weaver on the meal, he simply drawled, "Automatic".

I guess my "home" river is the Rancocas Creeka tributary of the Delaware.

At other times in my life it's been the Quinnipiac, Liffey, Oconee, & Olentangy Rivers, & Triplett Creek.
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Mine is the Patuxent.
