Politics of a bleeding-heart liberal(I will not give up that term), wrestling takes of a decades-long smark, Magic takes of a filthy casual, and probably some other stuff. Background is Lucius Junius Brutus, who overthrew the last king of Rome.
They said AI would be a game changer and they were right…

because it makes me wanna flip the table.
Hey what's going on with people getting arrested for trying to block AI data centers all over the country

It's almost like the AI industry and fascism have the same goals in mind IDK IDK I'm not a doctor
a man in Oklahoma was speaking out against a data center in his community. He went a few seconds over time and the city had him arrested for trespassing

Once again, I am promising Democrats there are literally thousands of former department of justice people who will crawl over broken glass to prosecute this administration given the chance

This… seems to be the standard way that techbros now approach every job handed to them, they just feed it into their preferred AI and c&p the response.

Clearly the first jobs AI should remove are the techbro middlemen.

Letting kids enjoy outdoor activities simply because the kids enjoy doing those things?

What a concept!
NBC ran a piece where Mary Carrillo went to Norway to find out why they're so good at the Winter Olympics and i was yelling BECAUSE IT'S COLD THERE

then she went to a little tiny ski jump for kids and was like "it's free, equipment is provided, & they don't emphasize results"

and i was like.
oh!

Referencing Chucky 1 is pants-wettingly terrifying for any former leader.
I don't know why, but the judge is now citing the historical precedent of Charles I of England. This is an incredibly ominous sign for Yoon.

The whole country is now a casino.
It seems nuts to me that CNN has partnered with an online gambling site (Kalshi) and hypes their betting lines as “news” to report.

Having trouble with an annoying coworker who has become a third party thinker?

Use religion to help you for a change and tell them you’ve given up AI for Lent!

Every agent of ICE behind bars.
That is the only position that the @democrats.org should have.

Compromise is not an option.

The wild thing is that we were on our way towards this in the 00’s. Then the Epstein cabal decided they needed a scapegoat/distraction.

The idea that the “centrist” position is denying Trans rights is unjustifiable.
Again, all I'm asking is that any Democrat who wants my vote support 1. Reverting Trump's anti-trans policies, 2. Commit to fighting against the future erosion of trans rights, and 3. Support legislation codifying trans rights into law.

Very weird how many of you centrists think that's unreasonable

I do not fear the arrogance of the idiotic.

But vigilance is required.

If @schumer.senate.gov and the Dems let a single voting measure get through Congress it’s y’all’s asses who will be the first to be attacked by Trump.

as always, the proper stance when trump and the goons sue is “fuck you, make me”
UCLA said no to Trump's abusive demands, went to court, and the govt is backing off.

Harvard said no to Trump's abusive demands, went to court, and the govt is left sputtering.

Columbia, Cornell, and Northwestern giving in was a big mistake. If only there were lessons against appeasing fascists.
This is a genuinely huge, sweeping victory today for the University of California—or rather, for us, its faculty, acting through our faculty associations, while the UC itself maintained a strict policy of deer-in-headlights silence.

The Trump admin has given up its appeal of a powerful injunction:

Yeeeeaaaahhhhhhh this is him saying what a lot of us suspected for the last year. When Rs flip back to vote for Trump it isn’t because he’s threatening them politically…
INBOX: Rep. Thomas Massie, who has enraged Trump for his insistence on blocking tariffs and releasing the Epstein files according to the law, just issued what is widely known among Chinese dissidents as "a declaration of no suicidal intent" (不自殺聲明), a sign of extreme distress.

I was taught the same, which was extra egregious as a lot of the kids in my class had military parents.

Logistics and supply chains are what makes a military. The North just had to outlast the South through better logistics. The martial skill of the generals was fairly well matched.
In school I was taught the Confederacy were better militarily and just lost because they had less manpower. Likewise I was taught the Germans were the most amazing fighting force ever and only lost because the spiritual descendants of the Confederacy came riding to the rescue.

Dr. Oz appears to have invited Jeffrey Epstein to a Valentines Day party in 2016, long after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting sex with underage girls.

That’s the thing that RFK knows. Americans paying so damn much for healthcare has basically subsidized the global pharmaceutical industry.

Killing it in America will have far reaching global consequences.

We had concentration camps during WW2.
I suspect that these ICE concentration camps are worse.
God the gall of @jaketapper.bsky.social lecturing that Minneapolis small business owner about the meaning of the word "concentration camp" while people are being crammed into poorly resourced buildings by the thousands and shuttled off never to be heard from again

Like giving a howitzer to a mall cop…
my understanding from reading people in the know is that CBP was known as the place for fuckups who couldn’t hack it anywhere else and was considered a backwoods clown agency

now they’re being given infinite money, no supervision and - apparently - drone lasers

what could go wrong
In a normal government, this results in the resignation of multiple cabinet officials (Transportation, Defense, and Homeland Security), and the closure or (at least!) radical reorg of the cartoonishly incompetent agency at the center of it: CBP.

There is no universe in which homeschooling actually gives a competitive edge in college admissions. This is just more “defund the schools and force women to stay at home and be teachers to their kids” bullshit.
Looking for an edge in college admissions? Just pull your kid from school. Homeschooling, long associated with hippies and religious conservatives in the U.S., is in the middle of a rebrand and a boom.

Romance literature is in the middle of a modern renaissance period. It’s public, popular, and actually getting respect as its own genre.

And HARLEQUIN somehow can’t make money off of that? Nah. Who bought Harlequin and decided to run them into the ground?

Ah. It’s News Corp. Of course.
