One nice detail that can easily be lost in this graph - even right wingers trust the BBC more than the right wing tabloids
Here’s the same data, but with trust broken down by political views (circles are trust among people on the left, +s the right).

It’s not just that the BBC is widely consumed — it also has solid trust on both left & right, whereas trust in the biggest US media brands is hugely polarised.

I maintain that in Wordle type games, if you get the correct answer but with two letters swapped, where both are valid words, and your previous guesses wouldn't have indicated the correct positioning, you should still win!

Let’s take a look at the whole “there are too many black people on TV” thing, shall we?

After Pochin claimed Black people in TV adverts “made her mad”, all her supporters tried to use 👇🏼 as their excuse for why she was somehow justified in her overt racism.

Spoiler - she isn’t! 🤨

I enjoyed the post already, but there are some good follow-ups in the replies. Now I want to hear the whole thing sing-whispered over a ukulele on a John Lewis advert

So for-profit AI companies have trained on the world's largest collaborative volunteer project and a precious free resource, to make money for their for-profit enterprises. They have crushed traffic to the volunteer project, starving it of donors and volunteers

Nicholas Parsons once failed to hold a door open for me and it hit me in the face.

Mick from Supergrass asked if he could have the ashtray from our table in The Three Goats Heads in Oxford.

I think that’s all.

I once saw Eve Myles browsing the CD racks in HMV. There is literally no more to that story.

The legendary Geoffrey Perkins once got in to the lift I was in. The woman he was with asked me what the yellow box I was carrying was. It was a Portable Appliance Tester. They then got out of the lift.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.
