The Target boycott that AFT joined on Labor Day is seeing success. This holiday season, we're doubling down to demonstrate organized labor's economic power, as well as the consequences of ignoring the will of workers and the good of working families.

Gov. Hochul on Rep. Stefanik's doubling down on anti-Mamdani "jihadist" rhetoric after Trump rejects it: "She's full of shit — I'm sorry, she really is; this is such an extreme position. ... I think it's disgusting, it's abhorrent, but that's who she is."
Mamdani a 'jihadist'? Stefanik and Trump disagree

Yesterday's Trump meeting tanked Elise Stefanik's case vs Governor Hochul

That's great for NY because Stefanik is horrible, and also because—without a serious threat to her right—Hochul will now have a harder time rejecting Zohran's agenda in the name of electability

Q: Stefanik has called Mamdani a 'jihadist.' Do you think you're standing next to a jihadist right now?

TRUMP: No, I don't. I met with a man who's a very rational person

There is no scenario where it is acceptable for our Commander-in-Chief to call for the murder of Members of Congress.

None.

If you love this country, now is the time to condemn this loudly and clearly.

Political violence must be condemned. Where’s the chorus of all those folks who appropriately condemned Charlie Kirk’s assassination
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Cuomo is a useful analogue here: a lot of the NY Democratic establishment--particularly labor--lined up to endorse him at the beginning of the mayor race because he's vindictive as hell and they were afraid of retaliation if he won. But once it became clear he was flopping, he hemorrhaged support!
It's a key tell that Trump propagandists are now claiming not just that he wants the Epstein files released, but also that they're getting released ONLY BECAUSE HE ORDERED IT TO HAPPEN. For Trump, the *perception* of his mastery over the GOP is what matters most.

Why exactly is it possible to attack Trump with Epstein but not possible to attack Kamala Harris with Epstein?

It’s kind of important

This is an important postscript to how the opposition in Chicago including the Catholic Church was critical to getting ICE to leave
The people of Chicago won

Trump, Kristi Noem and ICE lost

Not only did Greg Bovino and his agents leave the city in disgrace

A judge ruled that they must release as many as 615 unjustly detained immigrants

Plus-they must stop pressuring immigrants to voluntarily leave
