Only a writer as talented as @davidanaxagoras.com would have the…er…BALLS to write a story like this—and actually be capable of pulling it off. 😄🍒

The rumors are true! The greatest science fiction story ever told (about testicles) is out of the bag! My short story “‘We Require an Engine,’ Said the Testicle Collective” is free to read and out now in Translunar Travelers Lounge!

“We Require an Engine,” Said the Testicle Collective by David Anaxagoras
This is the story of you, a man—simple, uncomplicated, perhaps a little stubborn, getting on in years, but still vital. And some of the stupid fucking choices you’ve made.

Even if it's not an emergency and you have plenty of cash to burn, BUY USED TECH. Keep it out of landfills. And don't give Apple any more cash for Tim Cook to mint into gold iPad stands for Trump.

Just shelled out an emergency $400 for a used macbook because my current macbook's battery is *checks technical manual* LITERALLY SWELLING AND QUICKLY BECOMING AN INCENDIARY DEVICE.

So anyway WHO WANTS TO BUY MY FICTION?

Yes, by all means, Democrats, whatever you do, in the middle of Trump's SOTU speech, DO NOT stand up and yell, "QUIET PIGGY," unless you want to be the frontrunner for the 2028 presidential nomination.
NEW: Jeffries clamping down on SOTU disruptions

Said at whips meeting this AM to either sit in "silent defiance" or boycott altogether, sources told @axios.com

Senior House Dem tells me the current plan for resisters is to go to an "alternative viewing site" www.axios.com/2026/02/11/t...

I carried my copy of The Talisman with me all my sophomore year in high school and wore a hole in the dust jacket with my sweaty palm.

I'm out of my mind excited that the third Talisman book, Other Worlds Than These, is coming in October!
Exclusive: The First Excerpt from Stephen King and Peter Straub’s Ending to ‘The Talisman’ Trilogy
King tells us about ‘Other Worlds Than These,’ where he’ll finish the saga after Straub’s death—and how his late friend’s ideas were resurrected for this epic goodbye.

Age Verification?

I never had a booster seat. Me and my sister just laid down in the back of Mom's station wagon, rolling and jostling and sliding like it was a carnival ride.

I'm okay with this. I'm one of the few who absolutely despises the Darabont movie's rotten cynical ending which proved the hysterical religious zealot was right all along.

King's story offered a faint spark of hope. That was snuffed out by the hubris of the director.
Mike Flanagan will write and direct a new film adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’ for Warner Bros

It follows a group of people locked in a grocery store after a mysterious fog emerges that hides deadly creatures

Age verification?

My first car had an ashtray, a full-sized spare tire, and zero airbags.
Age verification?

The gas station attendant came out to ask “Regular, Unleaded, or Ethyl”, then proceeded to clean all the car’s windows and check the oil. My sister and I rode in the expansive backseat, seated on the floor and facing the seat, playing with Megos and Barbies.
Age verification?

My first TV was black and white.

I thought One Battle After Another was supposed to be a comedy? Gave up after 45 minutes. Choppy story telling and a cruel, icky vibe. Felt like it worshiped 70s antihero films but didn't understand anything beyond the aesthetics.
