For now, though, I'm encouraged to take some time to add one or two more.

Between Worlds is the earliest one I'm missing. If anyone is interested in selling a set or scanning it for my academic use, let me know! Ditto Security Leak Magazine.

SHE’S FINISHED! My 5-foot-long Enterprise D oil painting is complete after nearly 100 hours of work!

I remember being 13 years old or so and trying to draw her and it was so hard, and all I wanted was to be able to do something like this. Truly a dream come true. 🥰🖖

Hello! Are you in the UK/Canada/Aus/NZ? Did you discover RPGs through any of the paperback-book games released in the mid-1980s (Fighting Fantasy RPG, Advanced FF, Maelstrom, Dragon Warriors, Tunnels & Trolls)? Can I ask you a couple of questions for an article? Please get in touch.

Hold onto your butts, data nerds. I've been looking Evil Hat's distro performance — solely based on our distro invoicing that we do through Freshbooks; we don't invoice IPR there so they aren't represented in these data.

The TLDR:

2025 was the worst year for EH's distribution in the past 10 years.

To celebtrate the New Year, I have my annual look at the year in roleplaying. It was a year of disasters, including tariffs, distributor bankruptcy, and stolen AI art, but there were great successes too, particularly in the OSR and indie sides of the industry, and for Backerkit. Take a look!

Fascinating (if you're a miniatures geek) read from 1972 - seems both that wargamers have 'always' complained about scale creep and that miniatures piracy has been very tricky to get rid of.

Also, David Wood's blog is an absolute treasure trove of miniaturing/wargaming history.

"People didn't put politics in their gaming in the old days".

The year is 1969, a 25 year old Jim Dunnigan designs the wargame "Up Against the Wall, Motherf*****", a game about the student demonstrations at Columbia. One player plays the Administration and the other the Radicals.
