I’m still stewing about this - just think of all the great scholarship being done by Ohio State faculty in religious studies, philosophy, the sociology of religion, etc. and instead of elevating that work and showing how valuable OSU research is, they promote these reactionary nitwits. Nonviolence is, in fact, working. This administration is weaker than it was a year ago. More and more of the public is becoming galvanized against it; its agents are being impeded.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

Update: The minibus that included HHS funding passed the House without any anti-trans riders. This almost guarantees the HHS bill will pass the Senate with no anti-trans riders. A huge victory for trans people despite tons of anti-trans attack ads.
