The amazing thing about Netflix is that they’ll do this even though they could very much get Tommy Lee Edwards for a song and it would look like they wanted it to
the most expensive netflix show of all time uses some fun AI filters for its end credits instead of paying an actual artist

As Zohran Mamdani became the mayor of New York City at a small ceremony shortly after midnight Thursday, the clock started ticking on his pledges to make the city more affordable.
Mamdani Takes Office and Must Now Try to Deliver on His Boldest Promises

Something that many (at least online) seem to forget it how high this man was flying in January and where he is now. Yes he is richer and still terrible but the Tesla protests pierced the sense that he was beyond reach. And that matters a lot. Thanks to everyone who joined those ongoing protests.
Elon Musk promised a lot of things by 2025

- colonists arriving on Mars
- xAI achieving AGI
- Tesla robotaxis serving half the U.S.
- completely driverless robotaxis
- a Tesla Roadster demo
- DOGE cutting trillions

none of them happened

Everything Elon Musk promised in 2025, but didn't deliver
Musk is now infamous for his false promises, but even this is excessive.

The most frustrating liberal tic is assuming that because Biden didn't do something that it meant he couldn't do something. No. There were a million and one things he could have done with the stroke of a pen.

The current war should have ended in November 2023. But Biden wanted it to continue.
The Pompeo doctrine and product labeling is really just the peak of this brazen agreement though. It could have been overturned on day one and should have been but Biden simply didn't want to.

We won't begin to roll back the tide of fascism until white liberals come to terms with the fact that tens of millions of their fellow citizens actively, knowingly, support racist Gestapo policies. Tens of millions of racists were not deluded or misled. How will you adjust your strategy accordingly?

The tech bros will do everything in their power to prevent any regulation of AI, because regulation is a pin and AI is a bubble. And they are going to make America eat that loss somehow. Even as they sit on billions.
There’s a funny Politico story showing that the latest polling on AI shows 80-20 in favor of heavy regulations, an absolute slam dunk platform, but Dems are worried about not winning back mask-off tech CEO donors

This is a great example not just of Nazism being normalized, but of being so removed from the consequences of Nazism that it becomes just a thought exercise. I mean, hey, 20 years ago this avowed antisemite couldn’t even have been part of polite society and look at him now!
Joe Rogan and Shane Gillis on Nick Fuentes running for president one day.

Rogan: “He could probably win in a few years. Listen, he couldn’t have existed before, right? Ten, twenty years ago, couldn’t have existed. Now, super popular. What’s twenty years from now look like?”

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art
