There is no sight that more efficiently puts the lie to immigration “court” than the common sight of children “representing themselves.” Children too small to climb into the chair, children in pajamas who don’t know where they are, children not yet old enough to speak.

without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

This is ridiculous. It was the first TRUMP admin which developed the cases against President Hernandez. His brother Tony Hernandez was indicted in 2018 and convicted in 2019, and key ally Geovanny Fuentes Ramirez was indicted in 2020.

Both were later sentenced to life in prison!
Leavitt: "The people of Honduras have highlighted to him how the former President Hernandez was set up. This was a clear Biden over prosecution."

Hear, hear!
"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.

Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.
News media has to do better with headlines that present false and unverified public health claims.

Good thread on why people defend abusers and rapists. Including famous ones they don't actually know.
Humans have a very, very hard time understanding that the person they like might be an abhorrent piece of shit.

In the age of parasocial relationships, everyone becomes the neighbor of the serial killer who is shocked at what the nice young man supposedly did.
