After a bit of a hiatus from my Sopranos first time watch-through, I got to episode 3 of season 5. I thought it was just a solid episode, nothing special, then I got to Tony’s question to Junior at the end—“Do you even love me?” cut to Junior crying, then the end—and now I’m a wreck.

Sam wanted to make a couple great sauces, so she opted for a ham, cheddar, and apple toasted sandwich with a mayo/dijon sauce and some horseradish dipping sauce for sweet potato fries. A brown ale and a revisit of one of our recent favorite films—The Worst Person in the World—were both nice.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon
