Sporadic posts citing examples of the Cyberpunk Future we didn't want, but we've ended up inside of.

Not a bot, yet, but might end up being scheduled at least.

we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

I can't help but feel a lot of the people in this article are quite ill and need actual, human support not a bot indulging them. None of this is real. These are not companions or your family, and you're going way beyond role playing. Even the positive study, Lily, is concerning.

Weird world.

Neither the future we wanted, nor the future we deserved.
PG&E is having a massive outage in San Francisco. Waymo robots aren't handling the traffic light outages well. Cell service is also out is some places.

No surprise as Waymo robots & cell have repeatedly failed during power outages.

CPUC regulates both Waymo and PG&E (Profit Greed & Explosions).
