If you haven’t been keeping up, the overpromising AI vendors are about to bring all their (VC lemming) resources to bear on the only use case that has produced anything near useful results: software development.
Our industry is about to enter a hell of its own making.

I moved into business software 4 years ago, and this is absolutely the thing
Every in house software group is going to have vibe coded rules engines* as far as the eye can see.

* - most business software is just data CRUD with poorly implemented custom rules engines.

Note that Massachusetts is by far the bluest state in which a state agency has a contract with ICE: boltsmag.org/massachusett...

That, of course, is up to the governor, not the U.S. Senators, but striking to see that while Ed Markey calls for abolishing ICE.
I will not support any funding deal that puts money in the hands of Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, and this violent agency. Defund and abolish ICE now.

Justice is so far away, but we can at least wreck a couple of companies. No way we’ll engage with Life touch again
Finding out that top execs from both LifeTouch and Chuck E. Cheese are in the Epstein files has pissed me off in a way that I didn’t think was still possible.

Not just a hurricane Maria reference, an on going power crisis
If you didn’t catch the significance of the exploding transformers in Bad Bunny’s halftime show, I gotcha. Here’s one of a bunch of pieces I wrote from/on Puerto Rico about the crisis—and Trump’s role in it. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Between this and Bad Bunny’s statement it’s surprising to me how celebrities’ messaging is on the same back-foot as democratic politicians. He probably didn’t mean it like this, but a lot of people will interpret this as: lefties and dems are welcome to the church.
“Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party…. Jesus is Jesus. Anybody can have a relationship with him.”

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

That’s my senator!
Right now, Democrats have the power to defund and abolish ICE. We should do it. This is about right and wrong—and the murder we are seeing on the streets is just plain wrong. Anyone who supports funding DHS and ICE is supporting the murder of Americans. We can stop this.

Nice layout of the basics. We’re so far from them it’s easy to forget
It’s worth walking people through the logic, because it doesn’t get repeated enough from the top:
1. There is no “immigrant crisis”. This is a panic instigated by racist slurs from a President’s that, even very recently, decent white people would have admitted were shocking and unacceptable.

As far as I know, Tom Suozzi here still does not have a primary challenger in his district (NY-3 on Long Island).

The filing deadline is April 6 for the primary on June 23, and if there's a remotely progressive town council member or PTA president in that district, this is the time to make a move.
Confronted Congressman Tom Suozzi, one of seven Democrats casting the decisive votes to increase ICE funding by $10,000,000,000.
