I think the "ugh, the mainstream sucks" poseur youth culture was 1) quite annoying 2) soooooooooo much better than whatever horrors we have now
Growing up in a time when “selling out” was the most shameful thing you could do and then being forced to live through the 2020s feels like being kicked in the head by a horse every day

Look to your local library for resources! You will be surprised by what's available

Specifically, get a hobby in which you MAKE something, and then find places for other people who share that hobby
Making things is good for you on, like, a spiritual level, so you're already improving your outlook, and you have a healthy foundation on which to build new relationships
