I’ve see a couple mentions that both Georgia Fort & Don Lemon are independent journalists without the coffers, status, & lawyers of media companies to back them - with no acknowledgment of Black press being *forced en masse* to leave the field or go indie in the last 2 years or so.
A Black reporter being targeted for arrest again in an industry that doesn’t even acknowledge that it pushed Black reporters out.

fundamentally the problem is that the us has maintained an undocumented underclass that it exploits for cheap labor. they cannot demand better conditions or to exercise their rights because they can always be deported. the only solution is removing that threat and giving everyone the same rights

I’m seeing a lot of calls for punishment of ICE agents and DHS leadership.
But don’t forget that a thirst for punishment can leave the victims behind. Our top priority should be rebuilding the communities that ICE is trying to destroy.

"Is the cure for male loneliness showing up early and setting up chairs?" completely unironically yes, the cure for a lot of things is showing up half an hour early to help set up and staying half an hour later to help take down. It's how you get the best pick of leftovers, too.
