I don't think I ever met Leslie Lee III (which is a shame especially since he lived in my city), but I'm grateful to see these tributes to him. We are losing too many people. 🖤
As often the case he was more critical of that show than I was. I don’t want to say he was contrarian because that makes it sound like it was a deliberate stance but he had such a smart critical perspective. His analysis was always interesting and I’d leave smarter than I began. Donate if you can:

Thing is: I *can* imagine seeing them smile again from just one photo. That's literally a thing that most humans can do. And what AliveMoment absolutely does not do is to bring the memories alive - it is attempting to supplant the need for and use of memory in grieving and loving the departed.
