Perhaps the smartest #ClimateAction investment in cities is in public transit. While others make excuses, Paris is building a WHOLE NEW METRO NETWORK CONNECTING SUBURBS.

“…the Grand Paris Express, a new 200km system with 4 new lines & 68 new stations.”

Paris is getting a whole new Metro network. And it’s huge | CNN
The Grand Paris Express will add four lines, 68 stations and 200 kilometers of track to the French capital’s 120-year-old Metro system, providing vital suburban links – just not quite in time for the ...

Albert "Rucksack" Rusnák concealing his identity as a customer. Wild. 😜
The fit’s good, y’all. Get in.

Confusing non-answer. “He’s a very good player” isn’t an answer to Niko’s question. Or it was with an implied hint - which is impossible to decipher either way.
Craig Waibel was asked by @elrolonw.bsky.social about his level of concern at the possibility of losing Obed Vargas on a free.
“I mean, you'd have to ask if it happens, but I don't view things the same way you do.”
Pressed on follow-up, he says “I'm not concerned. He's a very good Sounders player.”

Did KKH, then JBell and ended up doing them all. 😂
Wonder what others think that have actually watched him play w/ eye-ball test - would he fit stylistically w/ #Sounders.? Stats say he is successful going forward. Cool! but I want CB defensively stout 1st and have good chemistry w/ other CB.

Pocchetino is building the World Cup squad around Cristian Roldan, Diego Luna, Sebastian Berhalter and Alex Freeman, this man's ball knowledge is actually off the charts I'm afraid to say.

Start this team Game 1 WC !!
😉🙃

See what happens. At the least the opponent would be in SHOCK. Bring in A-team if needed.
Maybe they’re not missing them…
USMNT is beating Uruguay 4-0 in the first half.

With a lineup that is missing Pulisic, Adams, Richards, A. Robinson, McKennie, Weah, Reyna, Balogun, M. Tillman and more.

Unreal.

Wonder why Roldan got a yellow in that pushing match.

I looked at #USMNT highlights and didn't see him anywhere in the shots.

Anyone see?

How did Obed play today? Only saw snippets.

Haven't posted abt #Sounders. Trying to forget about it and move on with a very interesting off-season approaching! However, one thing I want to know, as the announcers were crap and didn't give out this info-What would have happened if Andrew wasn't able to continue? Only PK takers as sub in goal?

RIP to Lenny Wilkens, one of the greatest players and coaches (and player-coaches) in Supersonics history. His contributions to this city, including the 1979 championship, were enormous. He will be missed.

An excellent article that should be required reading for the Puget Sound region. We don’t need to hack away at the ST3 program or compromise its effectiveness. We just need to build the way Europeans do.
This article about Madrid’s metro system has some great insights about how its growth was quick, cheap, and of good quality. They identified 4 key points that made it possible and successful. Great read.

How Madrid built its metro cheaply
Madrid tripled the length of its metro system in just 12 years — faster and cheaper than almost any other city in the world. What can its expansion teach other cities?

Speaking of new stadiums, it’s probably not a good sign that fully one-third of your fans say they “stop attending games” if you move and and 25% more say they’d go less often.

I love this! The only negative is the size...cuz I'd prefer to put a life-size model on the outside of my house, so everyone knows what's up...haha.
Extra Life incentive prize added! 3D printed Sounders trophies wall frame display. Every cup since 2009 on your wall. It's super cool.
$10 donation = 1 entry; $50 = 10 entries. AND every $10 donation is also 1 entry in the big raffle: bit.ly/extralife25lp

It's crazy...I looked down at mine just now, and man, I can see it being torn off its tendons, etc as it has that freedom to move around..but to BREAK it?..it seems incredibly solid. A quick search tells me the hard outer layer is actually thinner, compared to the overall thickness. 🌠

As always…I’m so so happy for the player if they want to go. But my #Sounders fandom is so F’ing aggravated, when it comes during league play & especially during a critical end of season run. CW & the whole org must be pulling their hair out. CW kind of gave that vibe in his interview
On RBW and Vargas choosing to go to the World Cup: “the players want to go, and it’s a big opportunity for them. That’s a tough one, but that’s a big opportunity for the players.”

Final - IF they have offered a lower U-22 deal, is Obed waiting for them to come back w/ higher # or the off-season once team has better idea of roster construction? Is team waiting for off-season, for that reason as well?

These are me swirling thoughts. :)
2 - Can he walk/sign w/ another team for '27 now, even w/ the '26 option yr the #Sounders have? It wld seem that a new larger contract now, wld strengthen Sounders position once they have a buyer.
1 - I'm so confused. Maybe someone with more knowledge of MLS contracts can shed light. This is DAY 1 of me asking WHY hasn't Obed been re-signed on a MAX. U-22 deal? Have they NOT offered the MAX?..if so, why play negotiating games w/ the Vargas family?
