Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it.

Today in the Appropriations Committee, I will offer an amendment to prohibit the Qatari jet that was gifted to Trump (which is going to cost taxpayers $1 billion) from being transferred to him personally.

Breaking: The Trevor Project received a stop-work order last night on its contract with the national 988 suicide prevention hotline. The Trump administration is eliminating the option for LGBTQ callers to the hotline to press 3 and connect with someone who specializes in LGBTQ mental health.

I’m heartbroken at the SCOTUS ruling. I can’t think of a group more deserving of “equality protection” than transgender youth. This is a disaster that will force many families to uproot and move to protected spaces, maybe leave the US. My heart goes out to all of you. I am so sorry.
