A pair of Washington-area golfers have sued over Trump’s plan to overhaul a public golf course here, alleging it violated several laws and the original spirit of the park.

Some area golfers say the president’s ambitions for East Potomac Golf Links could put low-cost entry points to the game out of reach.

I’m sorry to say but Marco is not coming to save the Transatlantic alliance. He’s fully bought in on the admin’s approach but is just perceived as less likely to pee on the floor like JD did last year.

Agree. I did my graduate work at BU and I learned a lot from the cohort of foreign area officers in my classes. This is such a stupid move by DoD.
It was hugely helpful for us security studies graduate students at MIT to have a robust group of military fellows all the time. Not to mention in technicsl fields. Buzz Aldrin was sent to MIT to study/invent orbital rendezvous math
DOD own goaling itself all the way to obscurity - critical thinking is woke, AI can do all our thinking for us

Just so profoundly mind numbing, in addition to everything else

Russ Vought has finally found a type of foreign aid he likes. What an utterly disgraceful human being being.
Republicans are not fiscal conservatives and they never were.

Once again: what is Kushner’s role in the government and did he undergo a secret clearance process? Being the president’s idiot son-in-law does not mean you can officially represent the USG.
Breaking WSJ:

The highly classified whistleblower complaint against Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is related to a conversation intercepted last spring in which two foreign nationals discussed Jared Kushner, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

We live in challenging times. But these are also clarifying times, where the choices are clear, and we have examples to admire.

A good thought experiment here is: what do you think Larry Summers would have done if an aide at Treasury or Harvard sent him a memo or talking points as incoherent as Epstein’s writing?
Imagine believing that the guy behind this unwitting poem was the genius guarding the gates to various intellectual castles.

Absolute wild ride over my morning coffee today. Read it all the way through.
My conversation with the White House's special election cybersecurity expert included allegations about poison soda, medical experimentation, "Satanists," and a moment where it sounded like he began to cry. talkingpointsmemo.com/news/meet-th...

I've written about the overarching post story, causes, underlying pattern. But the failure of Lewis or Bezos to even show up, literally or figuratively, on a day of devastating cuts epitomizes the profound lack of character and accountability that is so common place today within the American elite.

Dems need to abandon the idea, fed to them by certain commentators, that Trump's 2024 win represented a durable cultural shift against immigration. It's blinding them to the possibilities of this moment.

Oh yeah this is happening. Still remember the vote and then running into Scott Brown that night in the security line at DCA and thanking him for his vote and him having no clue what it meant. Good times…
When New START expires at midnight, nothing can legally stop the Trump regime from dramatically increasing the number of operationally deployed nuclear weapons, especially on ICBMs and SLBMs. Within months, it could easily surge the number of such warheads by uploading MIRVs from the reserve force.
