Truly pleased to see Chris Landau has nothing better to do than troll a close ally and partner. Guess he doesn’t have any Boer “refugees” to slobber over at Dulles.

Maybe picking a fight with a U.S. Senator who is a retired naval aviator, who flew in combat, and was an astronaut was a miscalculation by old Pete.
Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), answering questions at news conference says:

"I was notified of a potential court martial...... through a tweet"

Again: why is Jared Kushner representing the U.S. government in meetings as some kind of an envoy? Would love to hear Risch and his team bring this up given how much they liked to take Biden and Obama over “unconfirmed” and therefore unaccountable envoys.
What is Jared Kushner's job in the administration?
I’d rather question why is Kushner there and why is he laying out a vision? We did not vote him into any gov position nor the senate we voted for has approved his candidacy.

This isn’t a grey zone anymore, it’s 50 shades of grey.

Reminder that shortly after ordering these strikes, Hegseth removed the press corps from the Pentagon and the SouthCom Commander overseeing operations in the Caribbean unexpectedly announced he is stepping down 2 yrs before his term is up. What we are seeing is just the tip of the iceberg.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

@jd-vance-1.bsky.social do you have any comments? Or is this ok from a congressional war powers’ perspective? I’m sure you have thoughts.
If you want Pete Hegseth to be able to kill anybody he wants anytime he wants while serving up “trust me bro” as justification with zero oversight from Congress, who gives the Trump admin a blank check to do whatever it wants, then vote for the cowardly Republican enablers.

Hey @jd-vance-1.bsky.social my family was present at the first Thanksgiving. Was yours? Let’s be honest, we’re all invaders. Let’s grow up and accept that the American story is about renewal. We all are newcomers here.
Homeland Security doesn’t grasp the fact that the first Thanksgiving was about making “room at the table” for European “invaders.”

The Democrats are in a similar position to Labour before they got in. It is a vote against. Nothing wrong with it. But if you don’t move quickly in power, you’re screwed.

The thing about the latest news in the Nuzzi/Lizza story is that RFK cost the nation its measles elimination status.
"Heck of a job, Bobby."

"If the outbreaks cannot be extinguished by January, the anniversary of the first cases in Texas, the United States will lose what is known as “elimination status” as determined by the World Health Organization."

Maybe, just maybe, and I’m spitballing here, it’s not a good idea to make a guy who has 12-18 months senior government experience in charge of OSD-Policy. Call me crazy but it might call for a bit more seasoning and not a guy who brags on the phone about being a “young Kissinger.”

Really impossible to top this response. Sums it up beautifully.
This is the most glamorous opening to an article about a white supremacist flattering journalist who lied to her readers and editors while having an affair with narcissistic crank who eats roadkill, swims in sewer water, will cause children to die, and is 50 years her senior that I've ever read.

And people like Summers would rip an aide’s head off if he was handed talking points with a period out of place. But old Jeffy writes barely coherent drivel and Summers et al are hanging on every word.
Every single time! Epstein will write:

"porsecters h4arrsed me w/ sbuopenas al bcuase tr4ificing myners .due porcess much???no"

and then there's, like, the former president of a university or white house counsel or something replying:

"You're totally right, and also I love you with all my heart."

So the next time you read a hit piece on a Democrat who called them out or see some self-righteous bullshit about how they seek the truth without fear or favor, pull out this email and ask: What did the NY Times know and when did they know it? You will get nothing but crickets from them in response.
