The guys at MDC Brooklyn have to be getting tired of being in there with guys saying they need to get back to their palace in Caracas, or their private sex island, that they're the president's lawyer, that they're waiting on their crypto exchange so they can post their $250M bond, etc.

the administration wants to frame this (bizarrely) as law enforcement. but if law enforcement conducted a raid for a suspect and killed 40 people, including an unknown number of unarmed civilians, it would be treated as a clear disaster like Waco.

Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

I don't know whether "narrowly tailored at removing foreign leaders" in reference to Iraq or "recent American history" in reference to either Panama or Iraq is doing a heavier lift here.

People seem fuzzy on this, but it isn't a question of whether civilians will be hurt or killed by military operations...they will...it's a question of the lengths a military will go to prevent it. The DoD is bad at articulating this to civilians because a lot of DoD leaders also don't get this.
We have someone on the radio show who is currently in Venezuela:
*There were strikes on two cities other than Caracas
*No official casualty numbers but many people are injured
