In our latest, we look back at 2025, a year where normalization slipped into naturalization, as a cadre of villains who rose to prominence on the back of covid denial took the reins of the federal government to play out their revenge fantasies.

It’s Covid Year Six.

Shockingly, this bill would have failed were it not for the 3 Democrat defections.
Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

We’re entering a new era of childhood mortality & disability, & almost no one will care bc they’ll just get used to “the new normal” within a few years. They’ll ignore the harm.

How do I know? Because that’s exactly how it went w/COVID, which is the 2nd largest threat to childhood health rn.
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

Not acknowledging World AIDS Day and engaging in COVID revisionism are straight from the eugenics playbook. One of the most effective ways of making people invisible is by erasing their history.

right now we are "in the middle of the pandemic". If we are ever going to reach the end of the pandemic we need to talk about it like the present crisis it is. Remember when HIV was a death sentence? HIV denialism didn't lead to a cure. Organizing did.

Respect Alice Wong’s call here:
“When I am in public spaces and see most people unmasked either because they think the virus is a hoax, that masking is virtue signaling & a sign of weakness, aren't thinking about it, or that they simply don’t care, I feel like an expendable burden not worth saving.”

Just a reminder that the bipartisan embrace of covid necropolitics and the eugenics as healthcare inversion narrative was a part of the broader infrastructure now being built by MAHA to kill as many people as possible through social Darwinian driven policies and eugenics.
I knew we were cooked as a society when everyone just sorta decided they were sick of dealing with Covid and everyone just decided to pretend like it wasn't a thing anymore.

Aside from the fact that anyone can get seriously ill from COVID, a key point they are deliberately hiding when removing access is that COVID vaccines reduce transmission. People choose to get vaccinated to protect other people. It is wrong and harmful to take that choice away.

I wrote about Republicans’ efforts to restrict access to COVID vaccines, and how this aligns with ongoing efforts to claim that COVID is the problem of a few “vulnerable” individuals, rather than a collective public health crisis.

Republicans' New Vaccine Restrictions Codify a False Healthy/Unhealthy Dichotomy
Denying vaccine access to the "healthy" makes no sense, not least because anybody can become disabled by a single COVID infection

there's also the very real possibility of global financial crisis + future pandemic due to the massive cuts to monitoring infectious diseases, the CDC, NIH, FDA, USDA, and other federal agencies that handle things like emergency disaster relief and vaccine distribution in remote areas
What's absolutely wild about this is the way they've manufactured a global financial crisis for no reason at all. This isn't 2007-08, where it was a bubble bursting. This is taking a relatively thriving economy and deliberately destroying it in the first three months of your presidency.

by embracing preparedness, you are building mental and physical resiliency for yourself and your community.

agency is, essentially, the opposite of trauma. creating plans and taking steps towards those plans is, in some ways, more important than actually succeeding at those plans. always be trying.

Again for those in the back: THE MORE OF US WHO WEAR MASKS IN PUBLIC PLACES, THE EASIER IT IS TO NORMALIZE THEM AS A PUBLIC HEALTH TOOL.
Indiana joins North Carolina, Nassau County and countless other parts of the US in attempting to ban masks.

The Governor of New York and Mayor of New York City are also in favour of bans.

Please, mask up. The more of us wearing them, the easier it is to normalize them as a public health tool
Indiana Republicans are all about that personal freedom. 🙄
