For the record, MLB pays *less* than NFL/NBA/NHL as a percentage of revenue. I took the latest year we have confirmed revenue (2024, $12.4b), added up the value of the payrolls of every team that year (just over $5b). 40.39% is what I got. Capped leagues guarantee around 50%
