Westchester native who admits he lives upstate. I only support teams I have a moral objection to. #RBNY, #ArmyFootball, the Democratic Party...
Why are people constantly fooled by gag Craigslist listings? No one trying to do a political influence op is going to be looking for volunteers on fucking Craigslist.
Why do people on the right claim that protestors in Minneapolis and elsewhere are “paid”? Because they’re just telling on themselves

I will vote for any Presidential candidate that forcibly seizes the New York Times and [heavily redacted] its top editors and publishers
More than a week before federal agents killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, different agents pushed him to the ground after he spit at them and broke a taillight on their SUV, according to newly unearthed videos. Watch here.
Videos Show Alex Pretti in Confrontation With Agents 11 Days Before His Death
More than a week before federal agents killed Mr. Pretti, a Minneapolis nurse, different agents pushed him to the ground after he spit at them and broke a taillight on their S.U.V.

The deputy prime minister of Jordon? Do you mean Bill Belichick?

If you are reading Oster's NYT OpEd on nutrition guidelines, then you missed this take on vaccine schedules:

"The vaccines removed from the schedule are generally those for diseases that are less common and usually less serious."

*Hepatitis B is a serious disease*

What Changed in the Childhood Vaccine Schedule? | ParentData by Emily Oster
The CDC has changed the childhood vaccine schedule. What changed, what didn’t, and what it means for parents—without panic, and without misinformation.

The Enschefterification of Media
It’s a meaningless scoop. Trump posted the story himself on social media. A real scoop is getting information Trump doesn’t want you to have.
CBS News reported on Trump’s 2 a.m. strikes before any official confirmation—after a rightward reset under new editor-in-chief Bari Weiss.

This gives me optimism, tempered by the idea that sports gambling may be like guns: a popular issue hijacked by a vocal minority, supported and encouraged by a highly organized, well-funded lobby.
Everywhere you look there is an opening for leadership.

What an irony that the Democratic consultant-pundit class fell into a poll-following Popularist obsession at a time of such volatility

You can just tell that #3 on the Pitt defense is a shithouse merchant. The pest of a defensive midfielder, most likely to fake an injury to draw a yellow or to step on the opposing striker's ankle and make it seem unintentional

North Dakota got absolutely screwed by a bad review process that determined that an obvious trick play lateral on a punt return was actually, technically, probably a forward pass. The video reviewification of America needs to be reversed, bring back football Luddism

There's two conservative strains that make New College unappealing:

- Parents don't want this for their kids because it's so limiting. It closes too many doors, even if it throws some wide open.

- The Parler/Gab Effect. Young cons want to troll the libs! No fun when there's no libs to troll.
Chris Rufo's disastrous takeover of New College in Florida shows what universities would become if they sign the Trump regime's extortionary "compact."

New College was supposed to model the anti-woke conservative higher-ed Americans crave. Instead, it showed the opposite, and serves as a warning.

Unpopular opinion: Ezra Klein, at one point, was good. Wonkblog and Vox were good, not great but useful, outlets until about early 2016, and then Ezra moved to San Francisco and got too familiar with the tech freaks
Ezra Klein explains why he is against the “oppositional” approach of Dems. One example he gives is blatantly false: immigration.

But more important: Klein shows how folks like him almost always casually throw vulnerable people under the bus in the name of “practicality.”
