Book this week. So far I like the banter, awkward and so relatable. 📚💙 #booksky

MS is a very tough state for Dems not just because of its lean but because there's very limited party infrastructure.

The winning candidates did a ton of hard work, and groups like Sister District helped step into the breach. A great example of why Dems should never give up even in red states!
Overlooked in deep-red Mississippi: Democrats *broke* the GOP's supermajority in the state Senate last night thanks to new maps that were created following successful litigation under the VRA.

And those maps worked, as three more Black Dems will join the legislature.

After 13 years, Mississippi Democrats broke the Republican Party's supermajority in the Mississippi Senate, flipping 3 legislative seats.

You say, what can one vote change? In 2018, Kentucky House of Representatives 13th District seat was won by literally one vote.

this is something that individual members of Congress could do tomorrow. The government is shut down so they could use their district offices. I suggested in January that they turn those offices into full on community centers where people could find each other re: mutual aid etc...
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

On my bike anything within a 15 mile radius is a pretty easy local ride. But using my car often limits me to about a 5 mile radius most times and days.

Book catch up. For me Sunrise at the Sea was my favorite of the three. Cozy. Community coming together. Bakery goodness and multigenerational. 💙📚💙 Romance but Hallmark channel spice level.

Sweet. Healthy relationships. Over halfway in.... Hollywood romance is less my kind of thing. recommended if that kind of thing gets you going. I lean a little more to the cozy demon fairy dragon tea drinking genre

I started blond on her tongue but it gave me disturbing dreams so I quickly switched to Queen of blood. Both are very good but for different reasons.

The President is trying to hand over our public forest lands to the logging industry by rolling back the Roadless Rule.

These forests are home to wildlife, clean water sources, and massive carbon sinks that help stabilize our climate.

We must protect our public lands.
