Before the ACA, I couldn't get insurance as a freelancer at all, bc I'm a type 1 diabetic, so "pre-existing conditions." It was absolute shit on my health, scavenging for insulin & test strips, constantly in life or death debates about being able to go to the doctor. I had no primary care.

I live next to a preschool, and can hear the teachers and kiddos on the playground every day. Almost spat out my breakfast when “Feyre” was called out. I’ve seen #ACOTAR names in baby lists, but this is the first I’ve encountered.

Cheers to the folks who thought I was throwing away my education to be barefoot and pregnant! Sipping sparkling grape juice in the house we bought from our double income, while also celebrating the halfway point of my pregnancy.
15 years of Caroline and I being married today.
There's a thousand positive things to say, but I can't help but think more and more about the people that gave us shit for getting engaged and married "too young" as if we were wrong.

Younglings, it can get so much worse. Insurance before ACA was only for the rich and healthy. You could get denied cancer treatment if you didn’t disclose having acne as a teen. Babies in NICU were hitting their lifetime coverage caps. ACA should be the bare minimum we all fight for.

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.
When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.
