I was at PAX East last year, and the gaming floor was *sparse.* Mostly games that had already been out a few years.

These fucking publishers and execs want an instant mega hit but refuse to even put the effort in to help the studio achieve that. Marketing for games is in a fucking abysmal state right now.

After 4 days of emails, Kaiser's CEO has finally responded to me about canceling my surgery with less than 24hrs notice, claiming they are "investigating".
I told them that it was very clear what needed to be done: accept the union's proposal or you are in violation of OUR agreement.

I filed a complaint demanding financial compensation for:
-the plane tickets friends purchased to be here and take care of me
- 18 months of insurance premiums that I paid while they strung me along
- the co-pay for my surgery when it finally happens
- 60 days of medical coverage post-surgery

Surgery has been delayed indefinitely due to the ongoing strike against Kaiser Permanente.

I am absolutely shattered.

There's a saying in organizing that "every unionized worker carries an ununionized worker on their back." We're doing our part! 💪❤️
Last repost is a great example of why a union is statistically proven to raise conditions for everyone, whether they're in a union or not: because union members OFTEN vote to make their privileges & knowledge open to all.
It's union members who do that work, learn those skills, set that up for you!

I got my details crossed yesterday. Surgery may be delayed as a result of the labor strike called by UNAC/UHCP.
I plan on emailing Kaiser Permanente's CEO at gregory.a.adams@kp.org demanding that he stop playing games with my care and accept the Nurse's proposal.
