Moose are great swimmers, can fully submerge for 30+ sec, & dive up to 5m deep! When a moose submerges its head, the difference btwn water pressure & air pressure causes specialized structures w/in moose nostrils to seal the nose! The deeper they dive, the greater the pressure, the tighter the seal!
Quote this skeet with a random fact you love, that brings you joy, I'll start:

Otters have pockets. The skin under their armpits makes a natural fold that they keep things in.

🧵For what it may be worth to anyone: some thoughts on Ilia Malinin from an avowed Brian Orser superfan. It's both an appreciation and an explanation of how their situations were similar, and not, and how Brian used his own ordeal to inform the coaching of his Olympic skaters. #MilanoCortina2026 /1

Finally got to watch. Mikhail Shaidorov (Qazaqstan/Kazakhstan) was brilliant — just absolutely amazing. I was practically holding my breath throughout his skate.
Mikhail Shaidorov🇰🇿🥇 has an amazing ability to up his game at the high stakes events. He brought a full arsenal of quad jumps to the games.

Anyone who had genuine concerns about youth gender medicine would staunchly and wholeheartedly support social transition. Let kids explore their identities to see what works for them!

The fact that this movement opposes even pronouns and haircuts shows that it's just bigotry all the way down.
This draft guidance reproduces Cass insisting that clinicians must be involved in decisions about *social transition* which actually should be none of their damn business

They take the line that this "non-directive" intervention should force things to be "keeping options open and flexible"...

I played ACNH for four hours straight the other night. Then the next morning, I awkwardly reached up to grab my laptop and storage clipboard in such a way that the weight was supported almost exclusively by my (hypermobile) thumbs. Mistake. Now I’ve got De Quervain braces on both wrists. 🫣

I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

All of DHS needs to go. This is a rogue fucking department from top to bottom.
According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.
