It is super cool, and if you skate at all, you have to skate on it at least once. (Even Brian Orser did it when he lived there, going out and doing a jump or spin here or there to freak the mundanes.)

Exactly. Parents, if you haven't raised your kids such that they feel they could tell you ANYTHING, that's your problem, and it's not up to anyone in a school to tell you what they can't bring themselves to say, provided they didn't say they broke the law.
If a kid’s parents don’t know their kid is trans, but their MATH TEACHER does, that’s sufficient evidence that they don’t need to be told.
