Take it IN to the post office if it's important - they will postmark it if you ask!
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

Of all the examples of people dying because somebody inexperienced was in charge, the biggest, most horrifying was Elon Musk and DOGE. No idea what AID did, didn’t care, blew it up and at least 600,000 people died unnecessarily as a consequence. Mass murder out of ignorance and bias. Thanks, Elon.
the very last person who should be prattling on about the dangers of inexperience is the grifting troglodyte who killed millions when he was put in charge of “efficiency”

137 years ago, on the 23rd of December 1888, Vincent Van Gogh had an argument with Paul Gauguin. Afterwards, he cut off a part of his left ear and sent it to a nearby brothel. Local police ordered Van Gogh to be palced in hospital care. Gaugin left Arles and never saw Van Gogh again. #otd #history 🗃️

In Georgia, a mom facing eviction reached out to DFCS for help. They offered her nothing. Soon the agency took her kids away because of "inadequate housing."

The state then paid *$6,200 a month* to house her kids in foster care.

One of the most important and infuriating stories I read this year:
When Families Need Housing, Georgia Will Pay for Foster Care Rather Than Provide Assistance
In more than 700 cases over five years, Georgia reported inadequate housing as the sole reason for taking a child into foster care, a WABE and ProPublica analysis found. Advocates say it would be chea...

Old here who remembers: I had to get my newspaper-publisher boss to sign for my first credit card in 1975.
If you don't believe this can happen, women didn't have the legal right to have their own credit cards without needing a male co-signer until 1974, when the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) was passed, a landmark law that made it illegal to discriminate in lending based on sex or marital status.
The regime is attempting to make it legal for banks and credit card companies to discriminate against women and minorities, making credit access harder. There's just 1 day left to comment. Reject this premise based on the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. Comment here: tr.ee/I9k7aFPzg3
