As I kiss more of my hearing goodbye, my cat is refining there handle on sounds I can hear to get my attention. Today the yell for food sounds like a slightly water logged baby doll crying.

Well, this is chilling AF.

The Department of Education is suing Penn (in their quest for "combat antisemitism") requesting detailed information about Jewish faculty and staff.

The closer I get to finals the more likely I am to have nightmares. I would like real sleep soon, not a random playlist of strong sensory memory, enhanced by post traumatic stress.

When I worked at a bookstore, I quickly learned that people cannot tell the difference between Xmas music and any Baroque or Elizabethan music album that doesn't get too organ-ish. I used this to my advantage.

One customer caught on... AND THANKED ME

And rightfully so.

So tell me, why do we put up with it when the song is “Frosty the Snowman”?

My mix CDs (and modem) were so powerful that people who would have never hung out with me would bring me hand written request lists and a caffeinated beverage.

The Pope just delivered a message to ravers outside a 14th-century cathedral (with music by ‘The Clerical Brothers’, perhaps...?).

Discovered one of my students is brilliant and engaged as long as they remember to bring a snack to their lesson. Adding a note on this week's class emails reminding everyone to please snack freely during lessons, I want them fed while dealing with language school.

I think I might be looking at all my students being out tonight. Maybe I'll go to bed early tonight.

I might only have one student tonight, which means I'm spending the downtime trying to put homework packets together for them and coming up with something fun for the student I will have.

A fun fact about me is that decades ago I was a water policy reporter. NEORSD had some of the nation’s leading experts on several topics I covered, and they were also super fun to grab a beer with.
just learned we won an award for our blog post about Tom Holland and stormwater management.

remember, when you see an article about stormwater management, you repost it. i don’t make the rules.
