Very interesting new @balancedeconomy.bsky.social report setting out the links between concentration of ownership in the financial sector and climate damage.

Here's one killer graph: over half of fossil fuel profits to the top 1% in the US.

The deal was negotiated by the previous government when she was a cabinet minister
This is (1) disgraceful at a moment of national danger, (2) laughably unserious and (3) deeply unwise when the President is obviously becoming incapacitated and the most unpopular person in the whole UK. Utterly disqualifying.

Beyond hypocritical
Just reflexively oppositional, YOU NEGOTIATED THIS DEAL! If you'd not held the election when you did, Rishi would have signed it. YOU WERE IN THE FOREIGN OFFICE AT THE TIME.

Looking back: young people already seek help online.

Youth Endowment Fund found 1 in 4 UK teens have used AI chatbots for mental health support.

This reflects unmet need and not recklessness.

I don't think people in this country process what it means to have 7 million people cycling through jail every year. Someone is arrested every 3 seconds. And that is not including immigration policing! When people leave jail, they are at extremely high risk of overdosing. It takes years off a life.
