Back in 1997 there were just 11 booming male Bitterns left in the UK – almost extinct. Thanks to conservation by @rspb.bsky.social and @naturalengland.bsky.social 283 booming males were recorded in 2024.

If the government really wants to tackle the whole 'a whole pile of folks are off sick' thing, they could start by treating sick and disabled people as *people,* not broken office equipment. Oh, and acknowledging that post-viral disabilities are real, and covid happened, that'd be a start.

What percentage of politicians in your country are still relying on this site as a primary means of public communication?

It feels slightly maddening that this isn't being treated as an extremely urgent problem.
This is a "recommended" tweet pushed to a (very much not-Nazi) contact's iPhone lockscreen last week.

Who knows how many millions it was pushed to by Musk's platform, including in this case, in the UK?

It's now been deleted, but only after getting thousands of RTs.

The whiter the area the more likely it is to have a Reform problem. Immigration isn’t the problem, otherwise you’d get Reform in more diverse areas - it’s fear of change among older people.
